Michael Medved reviews Atlas Shrugged

You can listen his review here. A written copy of the review is available here. Michael gives the movie just two stars out of four, but I think that he is being much too harsh on the decision to move the movie to the current day. It seems to be much of his motivation for only giving the movie two stars. That said, I agree with him that Taylor Schilling is "luminous" in the role of Dagny Taggart.

With so terse a review as Medved grants this movie version of a fifty year old book, that has ranked above Obowma's Audacity of Hope, it quite an accomplishment to winkle out his motivation for much beyond his Hollyweird salary.

That said, AS-I will make small impact and less sense to the unread audience. It is better for the well read and especially those familiar with the book.

Seems like a reasonable review. I wasn't put off by the time change, it was the sub-par writing and acting that I didn't like.
