Missouri House Overwhelmingly passes bill to let permitted concealed handgun on University property

The Missourian has this:

Exactly two years after a gunman killed 32 people and himself on the campus of Virginia Tech, the Missouri House voted Thursday to allow concealed weapons on college campuses.

An amendment to a proposed gun bill, which was approved 105-50 Thursday, would pertain only to gun owners who are properly licensed in the state. The bill will now move to the state Senate for consideration. . . . .

As with most decisions made by liberals with consequences and costs to others, reality presents itself and Americans rethink the stupidity brought forth by liberal-emotional-molotov cocktails utilized as weapons of control.

liberals never learn that their undeveloped ideas, because they're rooted in emotion, will almost always end with someone's life being affected with negative consequence.

This is just one more example of such.

Congrats to Missouri for standing up for its citizens, free choice, freedom and upholding this nation's charter, the Constitution.

Aren't you a little worried that no mass murderer will be stopped by a student with a handgun before a student shoots another one during a political argument while drinking in the dorm? Argumentative, insecure and frequently drunk, college students seem like the wrong people to arm.

Dear Matthew:

Thanks for the note,. There are no examples of the types of problems by permit holders that you point to. Large public schools such as Colorado State and the University of Utah currently let students carry concealed handguns on school property. There was also a lot of experience with this prior to the early and mid 1990s. Again, no problems like this occurred. If it happened a few times, I would understand the concerns better. But these hypothetical concerns keep on being raised with everything to pilots to schools and yet the experience consistently indicates otherwise.
